Experienced, confident and discreet Housekeeper required for a family of five, including three young children and a small dog.
The role is primarily based on an estate in West Sussex (near to a train station on the Gatwick/London line) but may also require the successful candidate to work from the family’s London and Amsterdam homes.
The successful candidate will act as the family’s gatekeeper and will be able to use their initiative to ensure the residences are run smoothly and efficiently.
The successful candidate will have a good level of written and spoken English; experience in all normal housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, washing and ironing to a high standard. The successful candidate will also have excellent organisation skills, ensuring that larders and freezers are well stocked, and that wardrobes and linen cupboards are immaculately presented.
The successful candidate will need to undertake some basic cooking, providing healthy and nutritious meals for the family when requested.
The position requires a certain amount of flexibility, but the successful candidate will relish the diversity of this role; and will be rewarded for their loyalty.
Valid driving licence, and willingness to drive on an ad-hoc basis.
Honest and reliable individual with good communication skills
The Housekeeper should have an ability to prepare simple food using healthy ingredients and a good attention to cleanliness.
Given that there are others who work full time on the estate it is important that the individual work as a team with the other members of staff on the estate, and the private office team based in London.
