Our professional UHNW clients are seeking an Assistant Butler / Butler / Server to join a highly efficient, friendly, conservation-focused team of staff, caring for an historic Villa in Siena.
Please note - someone who has transferrable experience, even if not direct butler experience will be considered.
The position will suit somebody in the hospitality industry who wishes to hone their skills into a Butler career – applicants with experience in hotels, spas, cruise ships and yachts are welcome, as well as those who have already embarked on their butler career.
The team pride themselves on being a quiet, non-rushed, discreet team with excellent communication skills.
This is a semi-formal household that draws on the template of traditional butlership and the team provide an exceptional contemporary service standard to the family and their beloved dog.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
• Assist the Head Butler with the daily duties and manage the team in his absence
• Full and detailed meal service and planning
• Wardrobe and packing knowledge
• Management of special events
• App usage and admin, higher-than-average tech ability
• Inventory management
• Staff supervision
• Care of our beloved dog
• Car care and occasional driving duties
Requirements:
• Fluency in Italian & English
• Driving licence holder
• Applicant must legally be able to work within the EU. (The position is on a full-time basis, with suitable security checks)
• Experience as an Under Butler, or a transferable role in Hospitality
• Strong multi-tasking skills, excellent organization, and ability to adapt to a fluid environment
• Positive, friendly, can-do attitude within the workplace
• Commitment to delivering exceptional and consistent customer service
Working days & hours: Two days off per week, work schedule usually Monday-Friday
Start date: ASAP
Accommodation: Separate and spacious apartment on the side of the main residence, comprising: 1 bedroom, kitchen, sitting room and 2 bathrooms. Strictly no dependents or pets
Salary: €40,000 to €60,000 gross per annum
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
