Resident Estate Manager
Upper Brook Hill, Woodstock
Set right in the heart of this lovely town, Upper Brook Hill is a delightful estate designed by a French architect in Cotswold stone and brick with gorgeous views over the Glyme Valley. The 27 properties were built in 1990 around a pretty central garden. A resident estate manager looks after the day-to day maintenance of the buildings and grounds, the costs being shared equally by the residents.
Upper Brook Hill is one of 60 exclusive private estates across the south of England managed by Cognatum Estates, a not-for-profit company.
We are looking to recruit a resident estate manager. You will be responsible for the day-to-day estate management and to be on hand to assist residents with advice and in emergencies. This is a demanding job and requires a sympathetic and genial personality, but just as essential is the need to be well organized, practical and calm in a crisis. Experience in building and ground maintenance will be beneficial.
You will also be responsible for the maintenance of the grounds, including care of lawns and shrubs, and other small building maintenance tasks. It is important to be competent with minor repairs and have a keen interest and set high standards in improving the appearance of the gardens.
There may also be another similar opportunity for a resident estate manager at one of our private estates in Berkshire.
We are an Equal Opportunities Employer. If you would like the opportunity to work in a highly rewarding environment and can rise to the challenge that managing a retirement estate demands, we would like to hear from you.
